Role Overview

A Daycare Assistant at Creciendo Together is a caregiver and early childhood professional who helps create a warm, safe, bilingual environment where children feel seen, respected, and supported as whole human beings.

This role is for someone who believes early childhood is real learning, not just supervision. You will support children’s emotional development, play-based learning, and sense of belonging while maintaining structure, safety, and high standards of care.

Creciendo Together is a bilingual (Spanish–English) immersion daycare rooted in culture, patience, and intentional care. We are building something meaningful, and we are looking for people who want to do this work with heart, responsibility, and pride.

This position operates within a licensed, regulated early childhood education program and requires professionalism, consistency, and strong judgment.

Core Responsibilities

Child Supervision, Safety & Emotional Presence

• Supervise children at all times while remaining emotionally present, warm, and engaged
• Help children feel safe, respected, and supported throughout the day
• Respond to challenging moments with calm, empathy, and age-appropriate guidance
• Support children in regulating emotions and navigating social interactions
• Create a positive, nurturing environment during play, transitions, meals, and rest

Play-Based Learning & Engagement

• Actively engage in children’s play and daily activities
• Support learning through play, conversation, songs, and routines
• Follow children’s interests and help extend their curiosity in age-appropriate ways
• Contribute to circle time, activities, and learning moments as part of the team

Bilingual Interaction (Non-Negotiable)

• Use the language of the day (Spanish or English) consistently and naturally
• Use bilingual language to build connection, comfort, and belonging
• Support children’s language development through conversation, play, music, and routines
• Model pride in bilingualism and cultural identity throughout the day

Daily Care Routines & Environment

• Change diapers and support toileting/potty training safely, respectfully, and with care for children’s dignity
• Supervise meals and snacks while encouraging independence and positive routines
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain classroom and play areas to support a safe and welcoming environment
• Support daily routines in ways that feel calm, respectful, and organized

Initiative & Sound Judgment

• Step into leadership and decision-making when the Director is not present
• Attempt to resolve routine situations independently while keeping children’s safety and wellbeing at the center
• Use good judgment and ask questions when needed
• Proactively support daily operations and classroom flow

Professionalism, Teamwork & Family Partnership

• Follow all daycare regulations, policies, and procedures
• Maintain respectful, professional communication with children, families, and team members
• Represent Creciendo Together with warmth, care, and integrity
• Speak about children and families with respect and professionalism
• Contribute positively to the emotional tone and culture of the space
